The tube map is the schematic diagram (transit map) representing the lines and stations of London's rapid transit rail system, the London Underground (commonly known as the tube, hence the name). As a schematic diagram it shows not the geographic but the relative positions of stations along the lines, stations' connective relations with each other and their fare zone locations. Then, each colour is a 'line'. Obviously a line is a tunnel for the 'train' to go through. With a lot of stations, two or more lines go through the same station, which is where you see the circles. So you just plan out your way! Once you get onto the platform, right is east, left is west, up is north... you get the gist. Q. I'm trying to plan a trip to london with some friends, but What I need to know if this rail journey is possible. The Hotel we should be staying with is in Bethnal green, and we are trying to get to the Excel Center in the docklands. I don't know much about the tube, so bare with me. I was looking at a tube map and came up with this- can you tell me if its doable? Bethnal Green -> Stratford, Change to the DLR -> Poplar Change to the DLR headed for Beckton Get off.
